It still has uses, just like the Springer. Raptor's dismount groups enemies, which can be very convenient when applicable, and Springer has the biggest breakbar hitter of the mounts. But given the mount design, I actually really don't like Skyscale much since it's literally just "Springer, but better (with exception to breakbars)."
This is a Springer mastery. This mastery provides a 75% fall damage reduction. Note that the Springer is inherently hardier to fall damage than other mounts, so this mastery will not enable other mounts to absorb fall damage as effectively as the Springer. The Springer is one of the mounts found in the Crystal Desert in Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire and in Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons. The springer has an unrivaled ability to jump straight up into the sky. You can use it to jump over cliffs, walls, and other hard-to-reach locations.
Must be noted that Raptor and Springer mounts can be obtained in End of Dragons as well, but their mastery tracks can't be trained without Path of Fire .
