This reveals the true reason for implementation of a higher level cap: The constant lizard-brained need to see numbers go higher. Original Guild Wars didn't need 80 levels, and neither does the grandaddy of all RPGs, D&D. Neither does GW2. Edited June 6, 2021 by Mungrul.9358
*8 completing LS 2 story (not the achievements) *2 Tequatl *1 Karka Queen *1 LA exterminator *1 Dry Top skritt queen *1 for first character reaching lvl 80 That’s 22 points without doing fractals, dungeons, JPs, LS achievements, difficult bosses or rare spawns. And that’s easily enough to max out Pact Commander (19 needed).
Max level means nothing, 1-80 is more of a tutorial. People have been playing this game for five years after reaching level 80. To tell someone what to do after reaching 80 is like making a list of everything that GW2 has to offer.

There would be 2 options for that: 1. Total MP shown should be your total MP earned on your account. (but that would mean MP shown are not necessarily MP used in mastery track, so it goes against current system, maybe not the best solution) 2.Total MP shown should be your total MP used in mastery track + MP earned after you have unlock all MP

Posted August 2, 2020. No, you do not need all the mastery points. There are 198 HoT mastery points available and you only need 144 to train all the masteries. (It's the same for Core, and PoF masteries, Icebrood Saga is a bit less forgiving with only 7 spare points, but the season isn't finished so that might change.)

Pact mastery level 5 took about 5 hours farming in Orr with boosts. With around 350% bonus xp from kills (celebration, foods, banners, xp streak, etc), I found that normally farming Orr with a staff guardian took roughly 4-5 hours to attain level 5 of the first mastery line.

Okay, I need 11 more Master Points to finish the IBS mastery points and just need advice on which ones is the easiest to do. So here's the achievements that I haven't done yet I know some of are doable but it might be time consuming, but just want your opinion. - Friendly Fire - seems impossible and can't get a group for this. Core Tyria is second by the number of excess mastery points, 32. There's masteries from personal story, masteries from Fractals, 2 from jumping puzzles, one from killing the karka queen, several side events, I've had a number of people in my guild finish their core Tyria mastery points without buying Season 2.

For PoF, they listed the repeatable hero points as something to do daily as they give a large chunk of XP. They also mentioned doing the casino meta when it was up and getting as many of the coins as you can since they give XP along with the events that are a part of the meta. If you have extra time between rounds, you can do the troublemaker iLO7xY.
