Hi I have a land rover discovery 300tdi 1996. It has an overheating problem. I have changed a couple of the radiator hoses, waterpump, thermostat and the fan. I have pulled the radiator out and had it flushed out. There is no obvious signs of head gasket gone no water oil mix. Not spiitoling water out the exhaust.
Try not to worry about it for a couple of weeks. It will take you at least this long to get used to the different noises a diesel makes in comparison to a smooth petrol engine. Even modern diesels clatter compared to petrol engines, especially when cold and under load. The 300Tdi is not known for it's quietness.The vehicle used in this thread is a very nice 1996 300TDi CSW, belonging to a local window cleaner (must change my job!) Replacing the clutch master cylinder is fairly straight forward, but very fiddly due to it's location in the left hand corner of the engine bay. To replace it you either need
